Short description

Feel the heroism of the original Tour of Flanders with a 200-kilometre route, inspired by the course of the first edition in 1913.

From Ghent you follow the traces of the pioneers through cities such as Bruges, Torhout, Roeselare, Kortrijk and Oudenaarde. In Kluisbergen you brave the only altitude meters of the route in the form of the iconic trio Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg and Koppenberg.

The route is largely paved. Where possible, we choose light gravel of the same type that the Flandriens had to brave in 1913. This gravel is perfectly suitable for cycling with a regular racing bike.

What can you expect during this ride?

The route takes you past 17 historically important locations that give the Tour of Flanders its rich history.

The route passes, among other things, the starting line where the Flandriens of the very first edition in 1913 heard “Heeren vertrek”, the remains of the velodrome where the Tour of 1915 took place, the birthplace of Karel Van Wijnendaele, co-founder of the Tour, along with many other beautiful locations.
